Building climate businesses that drive adaptation and resilience
The Business Incubation Programme at the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC) empowers entrepreneurs with innovative solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation.
We support ventures across energy efficiency, renewable energy, solar power, climate-smart agriculture, waste management, and water purification. Larger businesses also benefit from tailored guidance to enhance sustainability in their operations.
Our programme equips entrepreneurs to drive meaningful change and build resilience for a sustainable future.
Duration
The incubation programme spans 6 to 9 months, during which entrepreneurs get significant support to refine their ventures and skills.
Carefully Curated
In each cohort, we carefully select and support up to 25 driven entrepreneurs, ensuring personalized attention and learning.
Formal Recognition
Upon completion of the incubation, entrepreneurs receive certification, recognizing their dedication and growth.
Women Entrepreneurs’ Transformation Programme
GCIC provides comprehensive support to all entrepreneurs through business advisory services, capacity building, and financial grants. Our Women Entrepreneurs Transformation Programme® (WETP) bridges the gender gap, empowering women entrepreneurs and amplifying their voices in business.
The programme includes the CEO Academy and the Commercial Acumen Academy, designed to help women overcome gender-related financing barriers, enhance their capacity to fund business growth, and address performance gaps in management and operations.
To foster inclusivity, WETP also engages male entrepreneurs through awareness sessions, highlighting the challenges women face in business and encouraging men to champion gender equality. WETP ultimately:
- Builds a supportive ecosystem for women in leadership.
- Shifts limiting mindsets among female entrepreneurs.
- Helps women overcome challenges in business and daily life.
- Empowers women to lead with confidence and impact.
